Have Hemochromatosis, Body Pain, X Ray Normal. Can It Be Ankylosis Spondylitis?

My doctor suspects that I have ankylosis spondylitis.. This is do to where my pain is and how long i have had it... About the age of 15 yrs old I started having the trouble with my (tailbone area).. I am now 36 yrs old and have other spots of pain. Like my hips, hands, top of foot - like where the toes might connect.. can you have ankylosis spondylitis even if my x-rays look normal ( lower spine )? I also forgot to mention.
I have Hemochromatosis ( C282Y).

Hello

I don't think so if you have Ankylosing spondylitis. Do you feel stiffness in lower back after doing rest or in early morning ? Get ESR, CRP done. Also do a dedicated sacroiliac joint x-ray. Take analgesics sos.

Best wishes
