Has High Fever With Diarrhea And Cough. What Does This Mean?
My son has a fever of 104. He will NOT take medicine. He will barely drink anything. He does try to sleep a lot. He has had a fever for over 24 hours....he also had diarrhea and has a horrible cough that he coughs until he throws up clear fluid. the dr office is closed, i have also lowered our home air conditioner to 68 as he is only in a diaper and i want to lower his temperature and he will not get into the tub....what else can i do to help lower the fever???? please help...i really dont want to take him to the ER as i cant afford a huge medical bill

your child is having very high grade fever , whenever there is fever do cold sponging with wet cloth until fever comes down .
you have not mentioned age and weight .
if child is old enough to drink give plenty of drinking water .
give paracetamol syrup 15 miligram per kilogram three times a day .
give ors sachet mixed in water and give as much as child can drink
give sporlac or econorm sachet half sachet mixed in water twuce daily .
this for temporarily if not controlled you might have to visit er
