Hard, Red Bump On Shoulder. Burning, Itching, Painful. What Is It?

I have a hard red bump about the size of nickle appear on my lower shoulder blade. It burns, stings, and itches at different times. Very painful if touched. My left bicep is starting to ache... At first I thought a boil even though in 45 years I do not think I have ever had one.. It does not look like a tick bite... no bulls eye just a irregular circle red and warm to the touch

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

It seems that you may be having either soft tissue infection or vascultis.

Erythematous tender plaque suggests some infection, of soft tissue below skin or blood vessels.

You should undergo for blood tests to rule out DM,HIV,anaemia or other diseases.

Oral antibiotics with anti inflammatory drugs would improve the disease.

You consult dermatologist for perfect diagnosis and treatment.

I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
