Had Ventricular Failure, Hypersensitive Heart, Aortic Stenosis, Mood Swings, Aggressive. Is This A Typical Behaviour?

Hi my father died on Saturday, very unexpectedly from ventricular failure and hypertensive heart disease/aortic stenosis. He had kept the illness from his family, but even though he was 75, he could do the work of a 20 year old man, including the day before he died.

For a couple of years, his moods had altered and he became very prone to terrible mood swings, being down and not being able to work things out properly. However, if we criticised anything he did, he would go mad and become very aggressive.

Is this typical behaviour of someone with this condition, as my father has left us with more questions than answers?

Thanks

Helen

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic

Sudden death is well known in Aortic stenosis.../ So too in hypertension and heart failure.
Behavioural changes are usually not directly attributable to this - though low output and same disease affecting the brain vessels contribute. It may be an incidental problem and/or his reaction to his disability to the disease.

May his soul rest in peace
