Hi,
If serum beta-hCG titres rule out pregnancy at this stage, you should get evaluated for hormonal imbalance, get a pelvic examination to rule out vaginal and cervical causes for the spotting and get a trans-vaginal sonogram for other pelvic causes. Sudden weight disturbances, stress in any form, certain medications and infections can cause hormonal disturbances apart from polycystic ovaries, pituitary disorders etc. Blood counts and urinalysis also should be done. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
