Had Typhoid 5 Months Back And Was Treated With Antibiotics. Showing Salmonella Typhi In Widal Test
Dear Sir, i had Typhoid 5 months back and was treated with antiboitics and have no symptoms now, I have done Widal test last week still it is showing Salmonella Typhi H: Dilution 1:160 while all others are negative. Company will be doing a general test which includes Agglutinins against Vi antigen . I want to know in this test will it show that I had typhoid. Please respond.

This test is for detection of thyphoid in the past or now he is carrier of typhoid bacilli.
So in both the way you are likely to get report positive.
