Had Inguinal Hernia Surgery. Having Slight Fever. Taking Advil. Normal?

Hello. My 23 yr old son had inguinal hernia surgery one week ago. He is doing fine, walking, eating, low pain etc. But his temperature has been ranging from 96.1 to 96.7 all week. He feels fine. Is this normal? He usually runs 98.6. He was taking tylenol and switched to advil a few days ago. The nurse at surgeons today didn t seem concerned, she just said to make sure he s taking deep breaths. Thank you.

Dear Sir,

98.6 is normal temperature thats why your doctor seems unconcerned . Some rise of temperature after surgery can be a normal finding.
