Had Blood Transfusion Due To Complications From Miscarriage. HGB Low. Any Precaution Needed While Doing Exercise?

I recently had a blood transfusion due to complications from a miscarriage of twins. My HGB is still on the low side (8) and am wondering if there are any extra precautions I should be taking in relation to exercise. I active duty military and need to know if I should be doing all the required physical fitness stuff right now.

Hi,
Getting back to normal activity depends on the duration of pregnancy you had at the time of the abortion and the recovery. If it was first trimester, you can resume exercise after two weeks and if it is during the second trimester, you can wait up to 4 weeks. Moreover, as you are anemic, you should keep in mind that heavy exercise can tire you more easily; as such I would recommend taking rest for at least a month while continuing with fitness exercise and nutritional supplements. Hope your query is clarified. Wish you good health.
