Got Pneumonia, Released From Hospital Before Full Treatment. Took Antibiotics. Have Atelactisis, Symptoms Of Pneumonia Again

I have hospital acquired pneumonia and was released from the hospital before it was fully treated. I am now having severe symptoms again and was wondering if I should be hospitalized again for it. I went to er and was given ten days of antibiotics and just got worse. I also have atelactisis showing up on my chest x-ray.

If you have an atelectasis which has not resolved then it can become a nidus for infection again and again and hence probably the pneumonia.
Also the earlier pneumonia was not cleared completely as you say which may have again got worse.
Ideally if you have been suffering from this now for a month i believe then the best way to go about it is to get a bronchoscopy done and then according the culture of the fluid an antibiotic can be started which may be appropriate and adequate
