Got Mirena Coil Inserted. Having Symptoms Such As Enlarged Breasts, Tiredness, Emotional. Advice?
Hi - I am 43 and two months ago had a mirena coil inserted following a laparoscopy to remove endometriosis in several areas. In the last two weeks my breasts have become enlarged and are very painful, my tummy and torso area are 'chubby', I'm feeling tired and cold and have been become extremely emotional (my poor husband) - which is not normal behaviour for me. To be honest I feel like I did when I was around 8/9 weeks pregnant with my two children. I am NOT pregnant btw. It worries me that this device is not for me as the negative symptoms have begun two months after having it inserted. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks Tracy
It looks like what you are experiencing are some of the most common side effects of mirena. If you feel that these side effects are affecting your quality of life then please revivit your doctor for advice on whether or no to continue this and find a substitute if chosen to be discontinued.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.
