Hello,
Welcome to Healthcare magic forum.
Enterogermina a probiotic contains lactobacillus sores which are actually normally present in human gut .They are the good bacteria that help in fighting against pathogens causing gastroenteritis.
As such if taken as per prescription there are no potential sideeffects.
However,it does not increase the apetite and is given only in cases of gastroenteritis especially witj diarrhoea to provide additional relief along with the antibiotics.
In breastfed infants under four months old it's not preferred since their gut is sterile, however it can be given if indicated like in bacterial gastroenteritis.
Please get a diagnosis confirmed before administering any medication.
Wish your child good health.
Regards
