Fungal Infection On Penis, Not Able To Retract Foreskin. Used Triben Plus. Is This Cured Without Surgery?
I MM am 42 years old and I had a fungal infection on the penis or probably my doctor said so. I had applied Triben plus for more than 2 weeks. But now the foreskin of the penis has developed some scars and I am unable to retract my foreskin. A month ago I was easily retracting the foreskin. Can this be cured without surgery? Kindly help me.
Hello, Infection of glans penis and foreskin of penis is caused by various infections including fungal infection and is called as balanoposthitis. Treatment involves use of antibiotic ointment like metrogyl gel and anti fungal creams like clotrimazole and observing proper hygiene. Most cases become alright with this treatment. Recurrent and recalcitrant cases require surgery called as circumcision. Consult your doctor and let him have a physical inspection and decide the mode of best possible treatment for you. Thanks
