Feeling Lightheaded And Have Fluttering Sensations. All Medical Test Normal. Cause And Cure?

I have had fluttering sensations, lightheadness and shocking sensations for several years now. Sometimes with a cold sweat like feeling. It occurs randomly during the day and night and has woke me up on several occasions. I have been to the er a few times because it was continuos. I have had two cardiac caths, echos, stress tests and holter monitors all normal and still no answers. Is there a name for this and will it every stop? At times it does impact my daily activities.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Welcome to HCM.

Since your other reports are normal, just try to change your lifestyle. Take care of your general health condition. General health means both physical health and mental health. To maintain your general health perform exercise, take brisk walk in the early morning, drink plenty of water, eat nutritious home made food.

To help maintain a sound mental health do yoga and meditation for self control, peace, happiness. Do deep breathing exercises to get rid of stress and for relaxation.

You should get your blood checked ( blood tests done ) up to rule out hypotension as it can cause lightheadedness, you should get your blood sugar levels detected. Low sugar levels in the blood often cause cold sweats and it can be life threatening. Get examined clinically and confirm your fitness level.

It can be any type of stress, anxiety, depression that is causing you restlessness. You can talk to a counselor if things continue to remain the same inspite of your efforts to e better. Take care.
