Experiencing Shortness Of Breath. Due To Stress? Tests All Normal. Possible Reason?

Good day I have currently been experiencing short of breath symptoms for the past year.. dont know if is due to stress or anxiety? Every morning when i walk to work it starts and i have to yawn to get sufficient oxygen in. I have been for a allergy test and allergy tests for inhalants and it has come back negative. I also have been for a asthma test and its been negative. Can someone please assist as im getting to the point of frustration?. Age - 24 Gender - Male Thanks in advance

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

Shortness of breath can be related to systemic conditions such as anemia which is low red cell mass or conditions involving the heart or lungs.
Cardiac causes would normally be associated with a history of chest pain, palpitations, and, in some persons excess sweating at the time of the episode. It normally occurs in person with a history of heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, smoking or excess weight.

Any disease of the lungs can also potentially cause shortness of breath.
You may want to consider visiting your doctor who may take blood tests (full blood count), and other tests such as xray , ECG or echo - the investigations would be based on the significant findings in history and examination.

I hope this helps
