Experiencing Sharp Ovarian Pain And Cough Also Developed Acne

Hi, about a couple of weeks ago ive started getting sharp pain in my ovarian region whenever i cough or stretch. im not too sure if its normal or related to any kind of a condition. however for the past few years ive not been getting my regular periods. and when i do get them it starts with minor spotting for the first few days, about 3-4 days, scarce bleeding for abt 2 days and then again spotting for the new 3-4 days... the spots are brownish black in colour. since this has started, ive also gained a lot of weight and nothing i do seems to work on the weight. ive tried walking, exercising and even maintaining a diet but to no avail. to top it off, ive started developing extremely bad acne. really large and painful ones. i never ever had acne all my life untill this condition has started. plz advice.

Hi

The cause of irregular periods such as polycystic ovaries, obesity and hypothyroidism should be identified and treated effectively.Ultrasound pelvis,FSH LH hormone ratio ,thyroid profile and blood sugar level , body mass index is essential to identify the cause of irregular periods. Hormonal imbalance is the main cause of delayed or irregular or scanty menstrual bleeding.

Drugs like Medroxy progesterone or regesterone may be needed in the subsequent cycles for regular periods.Kindly consult your gynaecologist for the same.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
