Hi. I've gone through your query. I can understand your anxiety.
Usually following hormonal IUD insertion you might experience symptoms like cramping, on & off bleeding /spotting ,abdominal/pelvic pain, headache/ migraine, back pain etc. These symptoms will settle within 6months. I advice you to, - look for the expiry of the effective lifespan of the device - consult your gynaecologist for a USG pelvis in order to locate if there is any pathology & also for further assistance. - Also can take a course of cyclic progestins & oral estrogens as per your doctor guidance, till the spotting stops (if it's trouble some)
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Get well soon. Regards, Dr. Yogapriya V, General and family physician.
