Easily Overheated, Low Body Temperature. Any Problems?

I'm 58 female post menopausal no problems. I've always had low body temperature average 35.5/36 degrees happy when it's cold but faint easily when overheated. Breasts cold, hands and feet nice n warm usually, good circulation.
I'm fit and cycle at least 30 miles per week, good muscle tone and weigh 9st 3lbs/ height 5ft 4inches. I seem to have a very sensitive body temperature, especially to overheating when I seem unable to cool down naturally. This was also the case before menopause. in fact all my life. Any problems here? I've learnt to live with this.

hi
The senario reminds of the disease called Hypothyroidism but since you have a active life style and the likely hood of that being is less. The reason for having a body temperature this low and you are of age 58 is because its your normal body temperature. So you need not need to do anything about it. The best thing you could do and have done by you is to prevent over heating of body beyond 37-38c. When a person whose natural temperature is 36.8+/- 0.4 c he deveolops the fainting and other symptoms when he has fever approx 40c like that of you. So my suggestion is try taking paracetamol or some anti pyretic when ever your body temperature rise. hope you find this useful. please dont hesitate if you have any more questions.
Thanking you
Dr Samir
