Early Periods, Lasting Longer. Taken Morning After Pill. Reason?

I had a period on july 21st and my next one was due roughly around the same date this month. However, I got another one on august 11th and it's still there. Normally they only last 5 or 6 days at the most. On august 4th I took the morning after pill and I was wondering if this could be the cause of my period being early and lasting so long. I am in my mid forties. Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that this was withdrawal bleeding of morning after pill, an emergency contraceptive pill.
This is expected after 4-5 days of morning after pill.
So nothing to worry, there is no chance of having pregnancy.
Ok and take care.
