Hello and welcome to HCM,

The symptoms that you have mentioned siggest seborrhoeic dermatitis.
It is caused by a fungus. The fungus acts upo the sebum released by the sebaceous glands present on the head and neck region.
Genetic factors, enviornmental, hormonal and immune mediated factors are responsible for the symptoms of seborrhoeic dermatitis.
Managemnt of this condition involves maintaining proper hygiene of the skin, using anti-fungals, anti-inflammatory drugs, and keratolytic drugs.
A combination of these drugs is used depending on the presenting symptoms of an individual.
If the symptoms remain uncontrolled, topical steroids have to be used.
You need to consult your dematologist for prescription of topical steroids in case they have not been used till yet.

Thanks and take care
