I had a laparoscopic cholecystectomy ten days ago. I am feeling great. I do, however, have a HX of Burkitt/Like Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. Have been in remission 10 years. Pathologist's report showed very thick gall bladder with 12 stones & walls lined with stones. Gallbladder was in very bad condition. At first, there was a question of possible malignancy, but another Pathologist was consulted to review case. Conclusion was BENIGN (No atypia). Should my specimen or slides be seen by an Oncologist? Do you feel that I should trust this opinion? (My cancer was misdiagnosed by a Pathologist ten years ago is why I am anxious.) I have had a normal LDH throughout this entire experience.
