Dog Bite, Had Taken Vaccinations Before A Month. Am I Safe?

Hi doc! good day!!....My dog bit me a week ago just by an accident..but before that, we usually play and i don t know if i got some scratch by that coz the way our dog play is hes fun of biting...i just want to know with the range of 1 month before getting vaccinated coz i was just meeting the doctor the other day...am i safe from rabies then?i just got vaccinated but that was 3 weeks later...am i safe already??

hello. First of all you have to check the vaccination status of your dog. If it is vaccinated , then you can carry on your routine schedule of anti rabies vaccine for first 3 doses on 0, 3 and 7 days. If dog is not vaccinated, then you should complete whole course of vaccination on 0,3,7,14,28 and 90 days. The 0 day here is preferably the day of dog bite, but if you are late then its better than never. You should surely complete the schedule and keep the watch on your dog for 10 days whether it is turning rabid or not. Thanks
