Does Using Trichoton Forte Cause Weight Gain?

Does using trichoton forte result in weight being increased. I m using it for one week now, and found my weight has increased suddenly by 2Kg? Am not sure why it has happened. There is no swelling on my legs - to rule out thyroid issues. My age is 37 and am female. Any advise will help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is unlikely to cause weight gain. Trichoton Forte is a multivitamin/minerals containing formulation commonly prescribed to treat their deficiency states including that of hair loss.

Generally well tolerated however its common side effects include headache, nausea, metallic taste, dry mouth, and heartburn. It is unlikely to cause weight gain. Advised to consult your doctor to rule out other causes of weight gain.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
