Does Ulcer On The Side Of The Tongue Cause Ear And Throat Pain?

I have had left side ear pain, mild throat pain and what seems like neck muscle pain from the base of my skull to my shoulder. I ve been to the ent who ruled out cancer. I do have a nasty ulcer in the back left side of my tongue that has been there 3 weeks. It looks better but could it be causing my symtoms? thanks so much

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The ulcer in the sid of the tongue can be related to a canker sore.
I suggest to use cold compresses and avoid acid foods that can trigger the symptoms.
All your symptoms seem to be related to a flu like infection.
If the symptoms continue, I suggest to consult your physician for further evaluation.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
