Does Tonsils Grow Back After Its Removal?

Hi i have had my tonsils removed when i was young as one of them was enlarged. I am now 28 years old and i think my toncils have grown back as i feel like there is a lump on one side of my throat when i swallow and it feels discomforting. I do have an ENT appointment. Where is your tonsils located. I think i can see them when i look. It just looks like they have grown back as it looks like two lumps that looks pinky red at the back of my throat. If this is the case will they remove my toncils as it feels discomforting.

Hello

yes it is possible that tonsils will grow back after surgery and many times you may not need surgery for removing them again. Please start gargling with warm salt water 2-3 times a day , it will reduce your discomfort. Please discuss this with your ent doctor.

Thanks
