Does Tonsillitis Lead To Swollen Tonsils, small Ulcers In Gums And Migraines?

I believe I have tonsillitis right now. I seem to show all the symptoms. Swollen/irritated tonsils, some small ulcers on the sides of my gums... fever.. chills.. migraines. I don't have any time within the next couple of days to go to a doctor.. I was wondering, what home remedies I can try in the meantime

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

UNDERSTANDING YOUR CONCERN.

As per your query yes of course tonsillitis can leads to swollen tonsils, small ulceration in mouth, fever and headaches. I would suggest you to do beta-dine gargles after every three hours to relieve pain in throat. Drink luke warm water with small quantity of lime, honey and salt added in it and drink twice daily. Use combination of hydrogen peroxide and milk of magnesia for mouth ulcers but use very little hydrogen peroxide as it will cause burning otherwise. Maintain hygiene of oral cavity by brushing, flossing and antibiotic mouth wash daily. Take antibiotic Azithromycin along with multivitamin and take paracetamol combination for relive of symptoms of fever. Keep chewing basil leaves and ginger in small quantity. Take diet rich in fruits and vegetables which will boost your immunity.

If your symptoms keeps on persisting even after 1 week then visit your physician to get it checked properly and take proper prescription for your condition.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
