Does Sinus Cause Skin Spots With Itching?

does sinus causes skin problem? I been to some beaches and end up with some mosquitoes bites on my arm and legs. It is very itchy.At first, it just like any other mosquitoes bites.But weeks went and it just stay there, and the amount of red spots keep on increasing. Then, i consulted a doctor in my hometown. He told me my skin problem is due to sinus. I took his medication for 2 months now.The red spots turned brown and the spots is not as watery as it is before after the 1 month of taking his medication.But there is no more improvement after that. Sometimes,The spots are very itchy and some still watery.I had consulted another doctor, he said sinus only affected face, others body part will not be affected. It is true?

Hi,

The cause of skin lesions that are itchy, red that turned brown, some of them still watery even after 2 months of treatment, Doctor told sinusitis as a cause.
Although this is remotely possible the best to confirm a cause is to have the following actions:
* First of all consult a Dermatologist as he is the expert to know the possible cause. Any lesions more than 1 - 3 weeks should be diagnosed by a Dermatologist. His visual examination is the key and needed investigations of lesion and blood helps for confirmation and further management.
Since you have been told about sinusitis, a second opinion of an ENT Surgeon, CT scan of sinuses will help to confirm or rule out the possible causes and have an add-on treatment if required.
Also find out the instigating and enhancing factors and have further management till cure.
