Does Shoulder Pain With Irregular Heart Beats Suggest Angina?
Back Ground, I am a 43 year old woman, I am quite active and not over weight at all. The last couple of days I have been having chest heavyness and pain in my chest, shoulder and neck also my heart seems to be skipping beats off and on. I have been feeling quite weak and tired. My mother has angina so I figure I probably have the same thing. I have a doctors appointment but it is a week away. Should I wait a week and see my doctor or should I go to the hosptial

Shoulder pain with irregular heart beat may indicate angina.
Cardiopulmonary causes of pain should be excluded.
You may need proper clinical examination and investigations.
Investigations include routine hemogram,random blood sugar,lipid profile,chest X-ray(PA view),ECG in all leads,ECHO,TMT,thyroid profile etc.
Further treatment requirement depend upon these basic investigations.
You may need angiography etc after evaluation.
