General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Miners is inbuilt with long running dose of progesterone which acts as a contraceptive by avoiding ovulation. The side effects of the Miners are irregular, profuse, scanty or absent menses along with weight gain. After removal of Miners & the life style you are adopting, you should loose your weight after the hormone is withdrawn. But you need to adopt some other method for contraception, in case you are not interested in pregnancy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
