Does Osteoarthritis Surgery Cause Bowel And Bladder Problems?

I have back osteo degenerative, surgery is recomended fusion and rods. My question is when all the articles indicated "bowel and bladder problems" related to this what exactly are you talking about? Name Maryann 5 foot 5, 180lbs and 53yo. I have osteoarthritis in most joints and have had a partial Knee replacement, need the other one now. I am surgery resistant.

No, it is not possible for a knee replacement surgery to cause bowel and bladder problem. I will explain you what is bladder and bowel problem, It means that patient is not able o pass stool and urine with control. Either urine is coming out without control, or patient is not able to pass urine at all. So both things can possible.
It is a complication which is commonly seen in spine surgery. This occurs due to spinal cord injuries. So on paper it is mention because it can happen due to spinal anesthesia but it is not related to knee replacement.
