General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Norethisterone is unlikely to cause pain and diarrhea. Norethisterone is commonly prescribed to treat menstrual abnormalities, to delay the periods and other conditions.

Its common side effects include nausea, headache, breakthrough bleeding, and irregular periods.

There is no documented evidence of abdominal pain and diarrhea caused by norethisterone.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
