Primarily i didn t have any problem but for past few months i am having little bit allergic reaction(breathing difficulty for sometime); should i continue taking this medicine and how long? and would like to know if it has any adverse effect on liver or prostate. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Finax, which contains finasteride is generally used to treat prostate problems so it does not cause an increased risk for prostate problems with prolonged use.

On the other hand, the drug is metabolized in the liver, so in patients with liver problems, the dose needs to be adjusted.

If the drug is causing you an allergic reaction you should stop using it. Allergic reactions may become very severe and may be life-threatening so it is important to stop using the drug if you have a reaction, even if it seems a minor allergic reaction.

I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal for further medical assistance.
