Does Intake Of Rigevidon Have Any Side Effects?

Hi, I have been prescribed rigevidon as opposed to microgynon 30 which I have used for two years with no side effects and I am wondering if there are any different side effects to the new pill, or even if there will are side effects that come from changing?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Like Microgynon, Rigevidon also does not cause side effects and yet an equally effective birth control pill. Rigevidon is the same as other combined oral contraceptive pills like Microgynon-30 both by the amount of estrogen and progesterone present in it as well as its efficacy and safety profile. You may take Rigevidone instead of Microgynon-30.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
