Does Increased Physical Training Cause Sugar Cravings?

I have cut most sugar from my diet, & work out 3 days a week. Last week we increased my weights and decreased my reps. Now I am craving sugary foods. My typical food intake is 2 cups of black, decaf & a breakfast bowl made of 1 banana, 1 tsp almond butter, 1 egg & 1/2 tsp in Amon for breakfast. 4 slices is ham & 1oz of sweet heat BBQ kettle chips for lunch, and either a southwest chicken salad from McDonalds or a grilled chicken sandwich from Wendy s, with an unsweetened iced tea. I do drink water through out the day also. Do you think that the increase in weights and lack of calories could be causing the cravings or could it be something else?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello! I understand your concern. Have you got the personalised diet from a nutritionist or not? Have you done a laboratory routine check analysis? I think that the carbohydrate craving feelings comes out as a response of a low sugar level in the blood between the meal intervals. And this is normal. Do you eat dinner? You can do this kind of eating with low calories for 3 days a week not for a long period of time. You should try to eat snacks, healthy snacks. For example a banane before gym it is a good source of energy: it contains sucrose which breaks down fast into glucose and fructose. Glucose is the main fuel your muscles use to burn in order to provide energy. It is better to consume a meal with proteins example: two chicken wings and 2 white eggs, before sleep as it helps to build muscle during sleep. Because between dinner and breakfast it's the longest time of fasting of our organism. In order to increase the ratio between protein breakdown and synthesis it is better to consume it as dinner. Thank you. Best regards.
