Does Failure To Have Normal Diastolic Indicate Something?

Hi! I understand my blood pressure fluctuates 127/69 from to 153/78 over some weeks, especially if I take some alcohol. I am 58 and resisting medication, trying to exercise and loose weight, with not much success. To be careful I am thinking it is time to get medication, what do you think? Also why does my diastolic never rise to 80? Does it indicate something?

Hi,
Its all fine if your diastolic pressure remains in range of 60-90. So i don't think you should worry about anything.
Try having cardiac diet, with regular exercise, and track your BP Regularly. If repeatedly it remains above 140/90, consult your primary physician for needful advice.

Regards.
