hello,
welcome to Health Care Magic,
Green tea has been used as medicine in china for nearly 4000 years.
Research indicates that drinking green tea not only lowers the cholestrol level, but also improves the ratio of good cholestrol(HDL) to bad cholestrol(LDL).
Hope you are satisfied with the benefits of green tea.
Take care

Hi, I am 39 male height 184 cms, weight 93 kegs, BMI abt 25, Indian, have been suffering from borderline high cholesterol levels of 215 and elevated triglyceride levels of 235 for the last 3-4 years. I am a regular with both cardio and weight training for abt 1.5 hours daily. Otherwise healthy with normal blood pressure, normal Hba1c, normal thyroid levels and normal kidney and liver function. My doctor prescribed Crestor to lower my cholesterol and it caused severe muscle pain and lowered my running stamina from abt 6 Kms to abt 1 km. I stopped taking the medicine and have since, on advise of a friend, consumed Amway s Salmon Omega 3 and green tea extract called CH Balance for the last 6 months. A recent blood test revealed my cholesterol was down to 190 and my triglyceride level had dropped to 180.should I continue taking these supplements since they seem to have benefitted me. are there any side effects of consuming them for a long time ?
