Diabetologist 's  Response
I have gone through your query carefully and understood your concerns.
This is a common condition in diabetes with very uncontrolled blood sugars.
this problem is called as Balanitis.
controlling his blood sugar with insulin will reduce the swelling.
i suggest you to see a doc and take his opinion in view if high sugars.
waiting will increase the chance of infection.
Hope I was able to help you.
If you have any further question fell free to write me back.I will be happy to help.
Take care.
Best Regards.
