Does PCOS Cause Hair Loss?

hi...i m frm pak, i m 23, i hav PCO for last 5 years, nd i m taking glucophage 500mg, nd i hav sympoms like facial hair, bt the prb is my hairs hav started to fall for last few months, thy used to b so healthy nd thick nd now i m loosing them, i there anyway to gain them back, bcz i believe it is also bcz of PCO

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are wondering PCOS cause hair loss. Well Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is a common endocrine system disorder among women of reproductive age. It can cause hair by blocking the pores . I would suggest you to consult gynecologist again and discuss the condition with proper treatment and rule ot the other cause like funngal infection in scalp . Doctor may prescribe antifungal , minoxidil spray along with medicine like fincepia . Doctor may also prescribe pills that contain both estrogen and progestin or clomiphene.
