Does Microgynon Cause Extreme Fatigue?

Hi Doctor, I am taking microgynon for three months now, and I feel extremely tired. Everyday activity has become very difficult task for me. I also smoke a pack of cigarettes a day, and I have been aware that it could cause problems, but now I am really worried about my health, because I don t feel it is normal to feel so tired. I would like to know if this tiredness can be caused by this pill or should I contact a doctor to look for other problems? My gynecologist prescribed microgynon to me for three months, I started third pack before a week now. I was in doubt to take it or not, but i thought I am going to survive somehow, but now I am really concerned about my health. Thank you in advance,

Microgynon is an oral contraceptive pill and contains the estrogen and progesterone in slight high doses. It is unlikely that the fatigue and tiredness you feel is because of these pills. There can be other factors which might be the reason for your symptoms like your sedentary lifestyle, inappropriate diet, habit of smoking, mood swings, depression, etc. Contact your doctor to find the most probable cause for this.
