Does Metoprolol Cause Depression And Fatigue?

I am taking Metaprolol which was prescribed for Atrial fibrillation . I ve been taking it 4 to 5 months. When I wore the 2 week heart monitor my average heart rate was 106. Metaprolol was supposed to slow it down a bit. Now I m wondering if my depression and fatigue might be related. Also in August I got a cold and was coughing and wheezing for over a month. Could that be related? Thanks for any information.

no metoprolol does not cause fatigue and depression
your fatigue and depression might be due to atrial fibrillation because in AF the heart is incordinated and does not pump adequately specifically in fast ventricular rate so that could be the cause and metoprolol will help

your second question
only if you are suffering from bronchial asthma metoprolol can aggravate asthma and cause wheezing so if you are not a bronchial asthma patient than it’s not related to metoprolol

hope that answers the question
plz feel free to ask any medicine related questions
would be happy to help

best regards
