Does Fasting Sugar 180mg/dl & Creatine 1.9 Suggest Kidney Damage?

i am a diabetic patient for the past e12 years or so.i take insulin R and lanctus injections regularly.of late my blood sugar level and serum creatine had shot up. fasting sugar 180mg/dl,pp sugar250,creatine 1.9.does the above indicate that my kidneys are damaged?

Increased creatinine can indicate abnormal kidney function. In addition to this measurement, your doctor may also check your urine to determine if any protein is present.

This is also an indicator of issues with kidney function.

The best way of preventing any further damage would be tight control of your diabetes and also control of your blood pressure.
You doctor may consider a kidney protective drugs from the ACE or ARB drug family.
