Do We Have To Consult An Immunologist If Child Has Cold Urticaria?

Hello, my son has cold urticaria. He is 10 years old and has had it for 5 months now. What can be done to control it other than avoidance? Is it likely that he will outgrow it? Is this a immunological issue and should I consult an immunologist? Why isn t there more information about this disease?

Pediatrician 's  Response
urticaria is common phenomena whose reason is not yet known. as you said avoidance is the key. generally they outgrow it. does he have any other symptoms like recurrent colds, recurrent chest congestion etc. do anyone in your family have any allergies? if it severe and you are concerned check with a local pediatricien first and then if it doesnt resolve go to a immuno;logist
