Do Positive HBsAg And Viral Load Of 274 Indicate Chronic Disease?

Hi,
In my case, in blood tests report before minor operation of right fore arm fracture, shows HBsAg +ve and viral load 274. Liver function tests are within normal range. Sonography report shows normal healthy liver.
Is this information is adequte to conclude Chronic dicease and start to
take appropriate drugs? or any further test are necessary before starting drug therapy?

I understood your concern...
Since you...have positive HBsAg positive confirmed....
Now the treating...clinicians....want viral load....HBV DNA.....to plan...treatment....regarding....chronicity.....it is required to confirm with other panel...like IgM anti HBc....for acute...and IgG anti HBc...for chronic but...as you have HBsAg..and viral load of 274...means of HBV DNA...you have active viral multiplication and you are infective to others.....indicating...active disease...I think...that is enough to start....active treatment....
You can do whole....profile...of antibody....for status....
But for starting treatment....this is enough indication...
