Hi
The HCG levels in early pregnancy usually increases by at least 66% every 48 hours in normal healthy pregnancy. Very rarely the increase can be 56% only. They need not be doubled always. So if you are seeing atleast 56% rise everything should be fine with your pregnancy. You need to have atleast 3 serial readings if the rise is not satisfactory to come to a conclusion

Be optimistic. Take one tablet of folic acid daily. Get a transvaginal ultrasound done at 5 weeks pregnancy. At this time usually one should see gestational sac. Please note that the HCG level when you are able to see gestational sac is 1500 IU.
I wish you good luck.
