Do Antibiotics Affect The Efficacy Of A Depo Shot?

I had an abortion 2 weeks ago and went to the doctors 10 days after the abortion as i had an infection and got put on a 5 day course of antibiotics. While i was there i also got my depo shot for contraception. So got my shot and started the antibiotics the same day. Will the depo still work? The doctor told me the depo shot will take 7 days to work? I just want to make sure thid is correct as i definitely dont want to get pregnant. Thank you

You can take another contraception method for first 7days like condoms. The antibiotics are not known to interfere with contraception.
