I get dizzy when I turn my head to rest on my chair or to speak to my husband. I get dizzy when I look up or down. No matter what I do I feel dizzy. I also have these weird headaches . Neurologist 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

Most likely, you are suffering from BPPV (benign paroxysmal positional vertigo). In this condition, there is dizziness, whcih gets aggravated with change of head or neck position.

It responds well to medical treatment with medications such as betahistine and piracetam.

For preventing the recurrence of symptoms, vestibular rehabilitation exercises are useful.

You may consult an ENT doctor or a neurologist for treatment and further advice.

Wishing you good health,
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology)
