Discomfort Left Armpit. Pain, Tingling Hands. Diagnosed Anxiety. Stress ECG, Bloods,X-ray Normal. Issues And Solutions

Hello,

I am suffering from discomfort in my left armpit. It feels like I need to keep pulling my clothes away from the area. Sometimes I get the pain in the underside of my arm down to the elbow and this also can cause tingling in my hands. I am 43, male, normal weight and 6 foot 2 inches.

I have been diagnosed with anxiety following a panic attack 6 months ago. I have had ECG, stress ECG, bloods and chest X-ray. All came back normal. I am now assuming the ongoing pain/discomfort is muscular or nerve related. Any ideas?

Hi there ~

I understand your concerns. I believe that the pain in your armpit is due to a problem with having lymphadenitis. The cause may be anything between simple infection to cancers. If the nodes persists and you feel like the pain is not going away you might need to consult a doctor. I believe that the nodes are also impinging on your nerves causing you to have pain in the areas that you mention. I hope this helps clear your doubts. Please also consult a doctor who can performa physical examination and recommend the next steps, which might include a fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) or biopsy of the nodules. I hope this helps.

Take care and have a lovely day!
