Discomfort In Testicles. Diagnosed With Ureaplasma. On Doxycycline And Eurothrymycin. Another Urine Culture Required?
Hi Dr. I was diganosed with Ureaplasma a few ago and took a course of 100 mg Doxycycline x 2 times/day x 7 days and Eurothrymycin 500 mg x 4 times per day x 14 days and still after finishing the course of antibitoics I feel discomfort in my testicals and feel the ureaplasma is not cured yet. Shall I go for another urine culture?

I think you have taken adequate antibiotics. Even after stopping the antibiotics the effect of antibiotics stays for a while. Thus I will recommend that you wait for a few days and then go for repeat testing for Ureaplasma.
