Suggest Medications For Ureplasma Urealyticum

My doctor prescribed me with doxycycline capsules (7 days, twice a day) along with a digestive medicine (light green pill, helps with indigestions, diarrea, etc.) when I was diagnosed with ureaplasma urealyticum. I know there are many side effects when taking antibiotics and I was wondering if there was a safer solution to clear this infection 100%. If doxycycline is the only way to go, what are the precautions?

Hi,

As far as the antibiotic is concerned, the given antibiotic should be correct because good doctor always gives right antibiotic if this is the case of some infection, antibiotic is the only option that could eradicate it.

I would advise you to take the antibiotic given by your doctor and finish its course. Stop worrying. Whatever the side effects are there, that could be very minimal and will be gone once the antibiotic is stopped.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Akhtar Husain
