Difficulty passing urine. Test shows prostomegaly and urine infection. Treatment?

my friend s father suffered from difficulty in passing urine . He has been hospitalised and is been catheterised. tests show that there is prostomegaly and urine infection. It seems some medicine is being given through IV for infection control . He has got a past medical history of heart attacks thrice and treated. What is the treatment for his problem now? Will it have any influence on his BP and heart.
