Hi,
Both IPL and Diode are good ways of photo hair reduction, though diode is better. But IPL also works well in coarse hair and is cheap but comes with a higher risk of burns. You must realize that none of these methods will give you a PERMANENT hair removal. You will always need maintenance sessions every 2 months or so.
Hi!,
Welcome to HealthcareMagic forum,
Thats a good question dear.IPL is not a laser ..it is just INTENSE PULSE LIGHT.It does not have properties of a laser ..like being coherent.IPL also does not have a proper pulse width to work with as compared to a laser machine.Laser like DIODE & Nd:YAG are far far better than IPL for hair reduction. They are more permanent too. Also chances of burn marks are more in IPL than with lasers.Last 12 years i've been using lasers for hair reduction and i've felt that DIODE is far superior to other lasers. For Indian skin laser is better than IPL.
take care,
